UPDATE: Bouncer is still the sweetest little dog I have ever met! We did learn that thunder or firecrackers will send him leaping onto your lap but as long as your with him, he is fine.
His favorite time of the day is dinner time and this is when he lives up to his name! He also likes to "sing" along while we play a harmonica! He's waiting patiently for his forever home.
UPDATE from Bouncer's Foster Mom:
Bouncer is an adorable little dog! He is such a sweetheart too! He follows me around with his tail wagging behind him. He is good with other dogs & children, walks well on a leash & is housebroken. I don't even put him in his crate overnight. He loves to curl up on his bed & nap. You would never be lonely with this happy little guy at your side!
Sometimes people ask us why we rescue dogs/pups from West Virginia along with the Georgetown & Kent County SPCA's here in DE. The picture below show why we do what we do. We rescue dogs who are imprisoned by people who keep them in this kind of living condition. We can not explain WHY people even bother keeping animals in this way --- but they do. This is where our dear little boy (20 pounds) Bouncer came from. He was forced to live here in this yard in WV.
Our new boy Bouncer came from this hell hole. We rescued his brothers Brennan and Braveheart a few months back. They are now living in wonderful homes and we are searching for a loving family to give this little Doxie mix the life he so richly deserves.
This beautiful boy arrived in Delaware on our transport 05-06-06 from Wetzel Animal Shelter in West Virginia. What a happy, lovingly little dog! He is a huge wiggle butt. When he is in his crate all you hear is thump-thump-thump because he is wagging his tail so hard as a greeting!
Even though he came from a terrible place -- Rosy the Director
from Wetzel County Pound helped him to become the little happy, joyful boy he is. He just seems very grateful to have been released from that hell hole he was in.
Notes from Rosy at Wetzel: This little guy is only about 2 years old. Has a lot of Doxey in him, but is mixed. He was dumped in Walmart Parking Lot but WE KNOW WHERE HE CAME FROM!!! A very NASTY place (we have pictures). He is calm, sweet, and VERY CUTE! Has only been here a couple days, but he has been quiet, and doing great with the other critters. Just need to put a little weight on him. His teeth look a little bit crooked also. We're not sure if it was due to injury to jaw, or trying to chew free from his captured. Also his nails are atrociously long, so he obviously had no freedom. True Idiots they were.
All L&F dogs/pups are crate & potty trained, temperament tested, have been chosen for sweet, gentle dispositions, and are living in foster homes with families. They each have had the following:
SPAYED/NEUTERED
Microchipped
Tested for Heartworm, Lyme, Ehrlichia
On HeartGuard & Frontline Plus (as long as they are with us)
Rabies, Distemper, Parvo vaccines.
Intra Trac ll Kennel Cough
Two De-Wormings
PLEASE NOTE: Any dog/pup adopted from us must have a fenced in property either physical or Electric Fence IF there are children in the home.
If you need a fence for your dog, but are not permitted to have a physical fence, or chose not to, please visit our friends at Pet Stop. Mention that you saw them at our website and they have promised to send us a donation to help our rescue work.

We also expect that if no one is home all day, arrangements will be made to provide the dog with at least (1) "potty break" daily, whether it is through a family member, neighbor or petsitting service. We know that it is impossible for us humans to "hold it" for 8-10 hours, so we do not want our "shelter kids" to be expected to do so.
We have several petsitting service companies that we can recommend:
www.homesweethomepetsit.org/ in PA & DE
www.delawarepooperscoopers.com in PA, NJ, & DE
http://www.tlcpetsitting.net/ in MD
