UPDATE: Our baby, baby girl went home today to live in PA with her new Mommy, Daddy and big brother Charlie, the two legged kind! We have had LOTS of people who wanted this little one but we waited until this family came along. We're very happy for our little one to start her life as a cherished queen that she is.

My name is Fayth and I am a 2 1/2 month old Jack Russell Terrier/Beagle puppy mix. That makes ME very special! I KNOW I am too adorable for words, but I can ONLY be adopted to a family who has had experience with terrier breeds. I have already been SPAYED and up to date with my shots, so we just need the right family to come along to adopt me.

Just like any puppy, I am very active. My foster family calls me a "Pistol" because I have SO MUCH personality that I make everyone laugh with all my antics! My foster family also feels that due to my activity level I might enjoy another dog in my new home for a buddy. Right now I play very hard with my foster sisters Ava & Ellie in the back yard for hours. I also love to play in water bowls and love water I could be a good water dog some day.

They also feel I should only live with children who are at least 10 years old since I'm so small and prefer that I'm adopted into a family with children who have also been raised with dogs all their lives. My foster family is working on my potty training and my crate training. I'm doing very well at both even though I'm just a tiny baby.

They also want me to have my very own fenced in backyard so I can run to my heart's content. It can be wood or invisible. PLEASE NOTE:
The Invisible Fence company offers a special price of $699 installed
with their life time collar -- if you adopt a rescue pup/dog.

I was surrendered at the Kent County SPCA when I was only 5 weeks old
and they were kind enough to foster me until I became 8 weeks old. Then they called Lost and Found Dog Rescue (one of their favorite rescue group's) and asked them to find me the perfect home.

PLEASE NOTE: We do not place puppies in homes where no one will be home all day. Puppies, like babies, need lots of attention, socialization and cuddles. We do not feel that it is humane to leave them in a crate for 8-10 hour alone.

If you are applying for an adult dog, we do expect that if no one is home all day, arrangements will be made to provide the dog with at least (1) "potty break" daily, whether it is through a family member, neighbor or petsitting service. We know that it is impossible for us humans to "hold it" for 8-10 hours, so we do not want our shelter kids to be expected to do so.

We have several petsitting service companies that we can recommend:

www.homesweethomepetsit.org/ in PA & DE

www.delawarepooperscoopers.com in PA, NJ, & DE

http://www.tlcpetsitting.net/ in MD

We also have a wonderful all day Doggy Day Care service:

Doggy Day Care in Chadds Ford, PA www.fuzzybuttsPA.com

(I have visited this facility and it is wonderful and reasonable)

Please go to our website to obtain our online adoption application. You will need to register first; you will then be sent a password in about 1 hour. Then you will be able to complete the online application. We are notified immediately when one is complete.
