ADOPTED! So very happy that Ingrid has finally met her new Mommy. I'm thrilled that she will be able to get to "Go Home 4 The Holidays!"   This will be her Mom's first dog as an adult & in her own home. They will be perfect for each other & I'm just so happy that Ingrid will have such a busy happy life ahead of her!

She is my 538th adoption since 2-24-2004

**Be sure to watch Ingrid's training & playtime videos below**

Ingrid's Meet Your Match Designation isWallflower

Shy yet charming canine searching for patient owner with relaxed lifestyle. Looking for gentle guidance to help me come out of my shell. Treat me sweet and kind and I’ll blossom

I know Ingrid’s photos look like an adult dog but when you see her in person & on the videos below, you can see just how young this little girl is! At least you’ll be able to see what she will look like as a stunning adult GSD!

Ingrid & her sister Greta are 6-month old puppies and found themselves in a very crowded shelter in KY when their owners simply said they didn’t want them anymore.

They are clearly purebred German Shepherds & Ingrid is larger & taller than her sister Greta, I think she may be between 60-70 lbs full grown. She seems to be the leader of the two with alpha tenancies -- so it would be prudent to not place her in a home with another dominant female. She’s would do well with a submissive female or male.

Gretta is very laid back, but Ingrid is a go-getter & starts her day with a running a few laps around the yard & then settles in on a game of tug-of-war with her foster siblings which she seems to always be the victor.

Both of the girls were abused & they need someone who has experience with abused dogs in the past. They have already come so far just in the last few weeks living in my home. My sincere hope is that someday they will forget their past & just live for today where there are lots of nice people. She'll heal mentally but she needs a quiet home & lots of love & patience.

They are SUPER intelligent. Both girls have extremely soft & gentle dispositions & they are so affectionate, they really crave attention! They put their paws (gently) on your thighs & all they are trying to do is to get hugs. Usually, we discourage putting their paws on us but I’m letting them do it since they need to feel loved & safe. I have found that when the KY pups & dogs arrive, they have seldom been pets the way they are to us. Most of the dogs live outside their whole life, usually chained up & they have never had a chance to BE puppies! Even adult dogs have to learn how to play with toys because they’ve never had any toys in their previous life.

GSD’s are known for being very intelligent which is why they are often used by the police & military & I can attest to their intelligence because when I'm watching these girls behavior I can SEE them thinking! So, that means they must be adopted by experienced pet parents & their new parents will have to be at least as smart as they are so you can keep us with them!

Both girls are perfectly healthy, do not have Heartworms & have a clean bill of health from my Vet. They have had all their shots, have been spayed & microchipped. They are in the process of professional dog training (see video below) and they are learning leash manners so they won’t drag you down the streets, and basic commands. Of course, they are both excelling in their training.
